About Taylor Benion

As a passionate and dedicated educator, I have had the privilege of working with students and teachers at Kipp Metro Atlanta Schools. As the dance educator and department chair, I founded the dance program and developed a comprehensive curriculum that includes dance, dance history, cross curriculars, breathing techniques, yoga, and movement for children in grades K-4. My work has focused on workplace and wellness in schools, with an emphasis on building skills and promoting healthy habits that will serve students well throughout their lives. In addition to my work with Kipp Metro Atlanta Schools, I have also had the opportunity to teach and work with students at a variety of organizations, including Dance Academy West, the Atlanta Ballet, Ballethnic Dance Company and CorePower Yoga. At the Atlanta Ballet, I taught creative movement classes, ballet classes, pointe classes, modern classes, and yoga, and worked backstage with the children performers in The Nutcracker. At CorePower Yoga, I taught weekly yoga classes to both beginners and advanced practitioners, as well as yoga Sculpt classes, and facilitated and coached in the teacher training program. Throughout my career, my passion for teaching and my dedication to promoting wellness and healthy habits have been the driving force behind my work. I am committed to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments that foster growth, build confidence, and empower students to reach their full potential. I am excited to bring my skills, experience, and enthusiasm to any future opportunities in education, and to continue making a positive impact on the lives of students and teachers alike.
