I believe the best way to improve student success and teacher effectiveness is through HIGH-QUALITY math curriculum (and assessments). As an Assessment Specialist for the past 4 years, I have authored, revised, and approved over original math assessment items. As a classroom math teacher for 11 years, I created over pages of notes and practice problems and wrote more than 250 assessments. Additionally, I authored all 13 of my school's math interim assessments. On our North Carolina End-Of-Grade tests, my students routinely produced some of the highest pass rates in the state (top 10%) while simultaneously earning some of the highest scores for academic growth (top 1%). Beyond my experience and success in the field, it is my keen attention to detail, love for problem-solving, joy for creativity, and yearning for collaboration that makes me an asset to any team.
