About Teguh Setyawan

Teguh Nanang Setyawan has been involved in occupational safety and health training as he has helped facilitate competency test preparation for POP and POM for 12 years. He has broad work experience, starting from working in Lombok Aerowisata at Front Office Division, general enquiry security officer to emergency response team captain, safety health and loss control technician, exploration safety advisor at Newmont Horas Nauli, safety and loss control supervisor, and professional trainer for health, safety, and environment. In 1998 his move to PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara saw him taking on challenging work conditions by working night shift continued with performing the duty at the Command Post Centre. Dividing his time between work and responding to emergency call from ​expatriates, he was also a Emergency Response Team leader, Safety Officer, Safety Supervisor and in 2007-2014 he joined the Training Department handling OHS, leadership, and safety training programmes such as working at height, confined space, etc. A holder of law degree from the University of Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram, he has worked for almost 17 years in mining industry. He has been involved in handling legality aspects of training needs in relation to government regulations, especially the provisions set out in the Minister Decree No. which relate to gold mining industry. In addition to being an accredited trainer and assessor, holding certification IV from Trainwest, Teguh is a qualified trainer of leadership management, LOTO, and safety training courses. He lives in Malang, East of Java with his wife along with his 3 daughters and a son after relocation from Lombok since march of 2014 and speaks Sasak language fluently as he has lived for more than 20 years in Lombok. He has the full support of his wife to work in Martabe as her wife comes from the Samosir Island, Toba Lake, a place they call hometown that they can go to easily without spending too much time to travel.
