13 years I worked in the banking industry, dealing directly with the general public, selling over the counter and as a mortgage administrator assessing risk. I also took on the role to plan and train all the local Halifax’ in the area from Bournemouth to Weymouth when an new system was introduced. I left banking to become a Childminder so I could bring up my children but still work. I trained as a accredited Childminder so that I could provide nursery education to 2/3 year olds. During this time I also studied Open University to level 4 as part of the Foundation Degree in.This was my career until 2010. I then worked as a Teaching Assistant in a local school supporting a child with Special Educational Needs for 3 years until my current role as a Portage Practitioner, supporting children under 5 with Special Educational Needs with their learning and development in the home.
