About Terry Wiles

If you ask Terry Wiles what it's like to head a thriving financial services practice, he'll readily admit most of the time it doesn't feel like work at all. Doing right by others is Terry's singular focus. This dedication is reflected in Stonegate Financials' intimate approach when working with clients. Terry's firm belief in the golden rule led him to envision and create a new kind of wealth management where relationships take first priority. The son of a mill worker and a church secretary, Terry was raised in a very poor area of Pennsylvania. At just 12-years-old, his mother died from a long-term illness, forcing Terry, the youngest, to grow up quickly. Self-made and driven, he joined the Air Force shortly after finishing high school and now credits enlisting for saving his life, giving him direction, and instilling a get-it-done attitude. Following his military service, Terry received a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta with a double major in Economics and Finance. He then graduated from the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of Business. He later obtained certifications as a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, and an Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM. Recognized as an industry leader, Terry has been named to the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and most recently to the 2023 edition of the Forbes list of Best in State Wealth Advisors.† But for Terry, helping individuals and families prepare for a future where they can reap the rewards of their labor is what helps him feel successful in his life goals. Terry and his wife, Becky, are proud parents of two grown children, Kevin and Kelly. Terry and Becky love the outdoors and look forward to visiting all our National Parks via their RV. Terry also enjoys catching up with close-knit friends, assisting with local charities, and participating in several outdoor sports, including fly fishing, hiking, and snow skiing.
