About Tess Johnson
I am pursuing a Business Degree with a dual emphasis in Finance & Accounting at Leeds School of Business. I am very grateful to attend Leeds as a Leeds Scholars and Leeds Honors student. Outside of college, I am a fifth-generation rancher on my family’s owned-and-operated cattle ranch—Collins Ranch. In 2020, I assisted in the application process to help our ranch receive the Leopold Conservation Award. This award “recognizes and celebrates extraordinary achievement in voluntary conservation by agricultural landowners.” Using environmentally sound ranching practices has always been a top priority for my family’s ranch to preserve the land for generations to come. Ranching not only ignited my passion for environmental conservation, but also gave me first-hand experience in the day-to-day operations of a business. At CU, I recently joined the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity and Alpha Chi Omega Nu Chapter. I am constantly looking for more ways to get involved at CU. I am eager to build a strong foundation and community at CU Boulder, while also making connections for my professional business career.
