Hello Hello! I’m Thomas, a Software Engineer at Dell and a proud graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). With a demonstrated history of leveraging technology to effect meaningful change, my technical acumen spans languages like Python, C#, SQL, and HTML, and platforms like AWS, Jira, and Tableau. During my internships with industry leaders like Dell Technologies and GlaxoSmithKline, I crafted solutions ranging from innovative user interfaces to efficient project management dashboards. Beyond the tech, what fuels me is a deeply ingrained sense of leadership and community upliftment. As the former President and now Advisor of the Developing Men of Color Organization at VCU, I’ve spearheaded initiatives that expanded our membership from 100 to over 600. Our mission? Battling the fourth-grade failure syndrome through mentorship, while championing our core values: Community Service, Professional Development, Social Networking, and Academic Success. Through 20+ events per semester, we continually arm men of color with the resources they need to thrive academically, professionally, and socially. My leadership journey hasn’t been restricted to just the university precincts. I’m also the proud CEO and host of Catalyst Studio’s annual art exhibit, a charitable venture amplifying the voices of underrepresented artists from Senegal. Every piece of art auctioned sends proceeds back to these incredible artists, ensuring their talent gets the recognition and remuneration it truly deserves. Apart from hosting artwork from local talents, I also unveil my own creations and magazine at this exhibit. I am deeply committed to learning and innovation, always eager to bridge the intersection of technology and impactful leadership.
