My expertise is assisting companies faced with critical strategic and operating issues to find the best solution(s) to optimize value I have expertise in bank financing, strategic planning, financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, product planning, financial management, financial & operating metrics and supervision of Human Resources, Information Technology and Purchasing functions. Led financial long range planning processes at Novartis and Chiron. Recruited and managed very successful planning and analysis teams. Executed successful financing with major banks. Developed numerous strategic analyzes for the Board of Directors including capital structure and financing alternatives, optimal company financial metrics, R&D portfolio prioritization, Value Based Management (VBM) initiatives, and investment proposal recommendations. Direct experience in over 30 completed Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Led successful Corporate Finance teams that provided financial advisory on these transactions. Well versed in complex contract negotiation, valuation, due diligence, and post merger integration activities. My most recent position was Chief Financial Officer of Bay Area Beverage Company. Previously I was Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at JDA Software.
