About Thomas Gibbons

I have over five years of experience supporting faculty, staff and students across Northeastern University's global campuses. While based in Seattle, I have assisted in the build outs of new campuses across the NU global network by purchasing equipment, on-boarding new faculty and staff, and configuring equipment. Much of this work was accomplished remotely through clear communication with onsite staff and detailed documentation. As a Senior IT Support Specialist I lead by example, providing guidance to other Support Specialists on the team. As an IT Support Specialist I am often the first to hear from users of a potential security issues, such as a breach or compromised account. This has made me aware of the important role information security has in an organization which led me to engage regularly with Northeastern's Office of Information Security and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.
