About Thomas Gould

Dr Thomas Gould is an expert in the fields of political economy, public policy, governance, digital technology, systems modernisation, and the strategic management of uncertainty and risk. Before joining McAndrew Martin as an Executive Director, Tom worked as an independent consultant specialising in change management, digital acceleration, transformation, and R&D. He brings a wealth of expertise to the Board of McAndrew Martin where he is responsible for the overarching system of governance, as well as strategic use of data, technology and transformation methodologies. Notably, since joining the business, Tom has made a significant contribution in leading the digital transformation of the processes, systems, and infrastructure of McAndrew Martin, positioning the business to meet the challenges of the digital age. Tom has considerable experience working within, and conducting research into, the financial services industry in the areas of economics, insurance, investments, pensions and the impact of financial risk managers. His PhD thesis demonstrated how the changing practices of managing uncertainty and risk on the frontlines of financial services influenced the overall economic and political development, trajectory and evolution of British capitalism.
