About Thomas Griffin

Tom encourages and coaches people to speak Bible passages from memory. He is a physics teacher-turned-software consultant-turned executive who loves to recite Scripture. Over 25 years ago he had the idea that we could do better in presenting Bible passages in public and in worship services. In doing so, the message written on the page is given texture and character. Just as a song is so much more than words, Biblical text can convey more when it is given tone, pacing, and emphasis, in the same way that we naturally communicate every day. Tom has written two books on Scripture recitation and regularly presents workshops and coaching sessions. He is married to an amazing wife and they are blessed with two daughters. He grew up in California where he graduated from U.C. Davis and earned his teaching credential. After teaching at schools in California, Antwerp, Belgium, and Düsseldorf, Germany, he switched to the high-tech industry and worked as a technical consulting manager for a global hardware and software company. Now located in Frankfurt, Germany, he is enjoying the challenges with growth of a nonprofit organization focused on Scripture recitation.Positioned in a thriving international community, Tom continues developing a rich variety of connections to people throughout the world.
