Background
About Thomas Herrmann
I retired effective June 1, 2023 after 45 professional years that included being a teacher, athletic trainer, and physical therapist. I spent 36 of those years at the University of Cincinnati in a variety of positions, ending my career at UC as the director of the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program. I spent the first 2 years of my career at the University of Detroit (now Detroit-Mercy) and also worked in private sports medicine and orthopaedic practices in Cincinnati. To adapt an old saying, I've followed and I've led, and the end of the 2022-2023 academic year was the right time to get out of the way. I had wonderful, if albeit less than typical, career. I worked with exceptional people who were brilliant, patient, kind, and generous. I can say with all honesty that I learned something everyday. I am grateful to all.
