About Tim Baker

I am a recent graduate of Simon Fraser University with a BSc in Environmental Science - Applied Biology, and a Certificate in GIS. My schooling has taught me the importance of innovative solutions to Environmental challenges, and how truly multifaceted and complex the industry really is. Through my co-op terms I have gained years of valuable labour experience, allowing me to gain experience with long hours in tough conditions. I have also developed skills using field instruments and other tools in creative ways, such as my lead on Flexi-baffle installation in Surrey to improve fish passage. Through many years as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, and two summers of Environmental Outreach, my communication skills are able to adjust to any diversity in an effective way. As a new member of the Environmental industry, I am looking forward to enhancing my technical knowledge, working towards a professional designation, and making an impactful difference in the world through my work!
