About Timothy Horst
Having navigated waters of the telecommunications industry for 20+ years I have worn many hats. From a humble installer climbing poles, systems engineer designing hundreds of miles of cable TV plant, to regulatory compliance auditor ensuring obedience to government agencies, I have enjoyed these and many other adventures. If I had to choose the accomplishment I am most pleased with it would be the building of a safety program for 12 local telecomm systems. It was exciting to watch not only workplace incidents significantly decrease, but also see a change in culture where safety is concerned. From the experiences mentioned I’ve excelled, and as a result, bring with me creativity in design, discipline in evaluation and continuous improvement, and the benefits of working with a variety of teams. Currently I am exploring new opportunities in which to put my talents to work and with a freshly minted business degree, gain a deeper understanding of business. This recent college experience not only validated that my past accomplishments attained a professional quality, but also gave me new skills, ideas, and a fresh perspective to explore new opportunities. From all of this I have learned the best part of life is to be willing to help others not only because the rewards are inwardly fulfilling, but also outwardly evident.
