About Tom Howe

With over 20 years of pastoral and ministry experience, Tom is the Associate Director of Missions and the Director of Church Starting at the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists). He holds a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Divinity degree, as well as a Certificate of Organizational Improvement from the University of Texas at Austin. Tom's core competencies include discipleship, pastoral counseling, event management, team building, and administration. He leads the church starting strategy for Texas Baptists, which involves mergers, replanting, and establishing new churches across the state. He also coordinates the mission activity for Texas Baptist churches, fostering cooperation and partnership among them. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors of the Riverbend Retreat Center, a Christian camp and conference facility in Glen Rose, Texas. Tom's mission is to help churches grow, thrive, and serve their communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
