About Tom Pearce

I work in the Resilient Communities service at Cornwall Council. This position was set up through the National Graduate Development Programme (NGDP). My main responsibilities currently include supporting the coordination of one of the council's Outcome Deliver Plans, as well as providing project management support for the Working In Place project. In my first placement my responsibilities included managing and enhancing PowerBI dashboards, drafting high-level Council Strategy reports and chairing employee networks. I have an MSc in Global Governance from the University of Exeter, in which I gained a Merit. I gained an upper second class degree in BA History from Exeter. I have experience in the local government, heritage, charity and trade sectors, and have worked in a variety of work environments I am skilled in writing and advising on policy, including environmental evidence-based policy and economic forecasting, as well as conducting qualitative and quantitative research. I am proficient in data analysis and visualization, demonstrated through my knowledge of PowerBI software. In my spare time, I am a qualified Youth Theatre, Badminton and Cricket assistant.
