About Tommy Dalman

Tommy Dalman has been Managing Director of Ammo & Company since 1997. He left school to join the original family company (Dalman & Narborough), working with his family from the age of 13. During his apprenticeship, he became a specialist in the production of Scottish ceremonial regalia, including sporrans, bonnet badges, plaid brooches, doublet buttons and badges, waist belts and cross belts for broadswords, dirks and sgian dubhs. The Ministry of Defence awarded the company the contract for the complete issue of dress sporrans to the kilted regiments, a contract which we have held in some form for over 50 years. In 2021 the company was awarded the contract to supply the Ministry of Defence with Swords for the Navy, Army and Air Force, a project which has seen him relocate to Toledo, Spain, where our swords are made. A strong advocate of the Armed Forces Covenant, he runs regular workshops encouraging local businesses to recognise the value of employing reservists, veterans and former regular military personnel and the value they bring to any business. Over 50% of his current workforce comes from a military background. In 2017 he founded “Regiments Direct” a business that operates in direct partnership with regiments. Since its inception, monies returned directly to units has totalled over which is used to support welfare and benevolence activities within the regiments. Thanks to having spent almost 30 years in the business supplying quality military regalia and his very approachable manner, Tommy is widely regarded as being a very safe pair of hands when handling large or small orders. Married with three young boys, Tommy’s main interests, outside of work, are family and sport
