Experienced Family Nurse Practitioner and Wound and Ostomy AP certified. Passionate about wound care and helping people with complex wounds heal and improve their quality of life. 1.5 years experience as a wound care Nurse Practitioner, seven years of experience as a RN in Inpatient Wound Care, functioning in a consultant role, evaluating wounds of various nature, ostomy care, and matters of incontinence. Working with a multitude of physicians and assisted in the OR when needed. I believe in constant learning to continually serve my patients through evidence based wound care practices. I also have experience in optimization of new wound care software (Ophycare) and enjoy being involved in creating software that will truly help providers provide accurate documentation, saving them time so they can focus on patient care and have better work life balance. Eight years of experience in epic and optimization of the epic build to enhance nursing workflows and meet the needs of the nursing staff and patients. Twenty-three years of experience in the acute care setting ranging from Interventional cardiology, cardiac step down to post-partum to GI and pacu, and the post-acute care setting, which includes case management, care plan implementation, telehealth for congestive heart failure patients, and patient education. I have worked with several electronic medical records, including Epic, Meditech, GI endoscopy software, and Ophycare.
