I am an IT support specialist at Elara Caring formerly known as Great Lakes Caring. I started there as intern and was offered a full time position in December of 2017. A typical day for my job is taking phone calls from employees in the company who need IT assistance. View assist and close tickets that are submitted by employees who are in need of assistance. On a weekly basis I set up new hire equipment (tablets, flip phones, smartphones) and ship them out to the various branches located all over the United States. The IT team also takes part in a rotating on call schedule to assist users who are working throughout the night.
