About Treva Etsitty
I’m an autistic behavioral specialist and trauma-informed parent coach with a doctorate in Educational Psychology and a developing clinical practice. My work centers on helping families of autistic children move beyond behavior-based approaches to build connection, co-regulation, and lasting emotional safety. Through my lived experience, I understand how communication, environment, and trust intersect—and how essential it is for families to be guided with compassion, not compliance. I specialize in gestalt language processing, trauma-resilient strategies, child development, and caregiver support that is both culturally responsive and neurodivergent-affirming. I also bring a strong research and data background, trained in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. My doctoral work taught me to see people behind the data—and my neurodivergence allows me to recognize patterns and tell stories others may miss. Currently pursuing my M.S. in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, I’m working toward a future of supporting neurodivergent teens, adults, and families with practices rooted in dignity, safety, and human connection.
