Led the transformation of a $750 MM division of a top four bank from a “single point of contact / failure model” to one with centralized operations, a middle office that performed routine and specialized administrative activities and a revamp of the sales and relationship management functions, inclusive of creating a new incentive structure that drove sustainable and ethical results. Revenues increased by over $250 million in a four-year period and improved the efficiency ratio by 30%. Divested a nationwide, capital intensive, low margin operating business at a significant premium by identifying a strategic buyer looking to enter the U.S. market. Developed the strategy and oversaw execution for three additional divestitures of non-core businesses. Led or was a significant part of the deal team in four acquisitions that increased both horizontal and vertical integration of the value chain. Served as the primary business contact for several high priority issues inclusive of governance and oversight, end user computing tools (EUCT), BSA/AML, trust investment review and new business acceptance routines. Resolved over $30 billion of litigation matters that arose from the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008. Integrated the public finance corporate trust businesses of the number one and number three ranked institutions, inclusive of leadership assignments, office locations and sales / relationship coverage.
