Tittle: Silicosis Project Cordinator Coordinate all research projects linked to silicosis project including participating in the designs of, study implementations, data collection, data analysis and finding dissemination. The study Coordinator will also take on additional duties as assigned by the NCD Program, including technical research reviews, screening activities and supporting capacity building efforts. MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILIES FOR THE POSITION: Being a main focal point for the silicosis project and screening activities I worked closely with IMB’s to design the implementation of silicosis project Oversee study project implementation, data collection, data analysis, manuscript writing and dissemination. Served as primary liaison between IMB’s NCD Program and research department and other programs if needed. Together with the projects’ PIs and the team, develop data collection tools and other related tools data collection tools. Worked closely with and supervise data collectors. Managed ethical approvals, kept track of approval deadlines, and oversees and files study protocols and approval documents. Contributed to internal review of research work (protocol, abstract and papers) through Inshuti mu Buzima Review Committee (IMBRC). Supported the execution of any other research studies initiated by the program Participated in capacity building activities as a trainee and a trainer. Monitor progress of the study and report to investigators Conduct research in accordance with National Ethical Conduct in Human Research Provide liaison between IMB and all stakeholders in the silicosis project Understand and function within Institute policies, guidelines and procedures Performs any other related duties as assigned by the supervisors.
