About Tuomas Lackman

The core of my expertise is systems engineering, that is, I flourish when solving problems related to complex systems requiring know-how about different fields. In my work, I usually combine my skills in software engineering, applied mathematics and physics, automation and control engineering, electronics, and modeling and simulation. I'm also not afraid of utilizing know-how from other domains like psychology or business economics. My cup of tea is to identify and solve relevant problems with suitable tools in order to deliver tangible user value, not build elegant solutions to problems without actual applications. I like to do hands-on work, also in leading roles. As a manager, my most important leadership idea is to follow the servant leader mindset. Whatever role I have in the work community, I rather strive for optimizing the result of my team, organization and company, instead of focusing solely on my personal targets.
