About Tyler Chernesky

Tyler Chernesky (he/him/his) is a storyteller, writer, placemaker and strategist who currently serves as the Legal & Finance Officer at Alliance Studios (alliancestudios.gg), and helps lead a neighborhood-focused nonprofit named Community Happens Here (communityhappenshere.org). He also partners with various community-centered organizations as a grant writer. Prior to his work with Alliance Studios, Tyler served as a pastor at two growing churches, co-directed an art gallery, and developed resources for Six Word Memoirs. He also regularly creates original works as a mixed-media collage artist. Tyler has over six years of experience in editing book-length manuscripts for prominent authors, as well as three years of experience in securing grants for a neighborhood-based non-profit organizations. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and degrees in English, History and Religious Studies from Indiana University. Tyler's core competencies include relationship building, experience design, content creation, creative writing, and non-profit strategy. He is passionate about creating and promoting meaningful stories that inspire and challenge people. He is also committed to advancing community development and social justice through his work. He collaborates with talented and creative teammates, as well as with external partners and clients, to deliver high-quality results and solutions.
