I am, quite possibly, the world's only nuclear-trained choral music conductor! I possess the attention-to-detail and coolness-under-fire of a submarine nuclear reactor operator, the communication and creative problem-solving skills of a professional educator, and the confidence and charisma of a performing artist.With over 19 years of experience in music education and choral conducting, I am passionate about inspiring wonder in my students and audiences with the power and beauty of music. As the Choral Music Director at Ascent Classical Academy Douglas County, I conduct the Upper School choirs and teach 3rd and 4th grade general music classes. As the Director of Music at All Souls Catholic Parish, I plan liturgical music and direct the sacred music choir for the traditional Sunday Mass.In addition to my music career, I have also developed skills and expertise in business solutions, process improvement, training, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, thanks to my diverse background in corporate, military, and educational settings. As a former solutions and operations manager at Axium Inspections, I overhauled standards of practice, hired and onboarded staff, developed training programs, crafted policies and reports, implemented quality assurance plans, and brought companies into compliance—all with the objective of driving big picture business goals.Whether I am working in music, education, or business, I bring a unique and holistic perspective, a depth of knowledge, and a collaborative and communicative approach. I enjoy creating solutions, enhancing performance, and developing teams. I am always eager to learn new skills, explore new challenges, and connect with new opportunities.
