Dr. Ume Sumayya is a dedicated academic and leader in the field of Human Resource Management, committed to fostering environments that empower individuals while aligning with organizational goals. With a strong belief in the importance of bridging the gap between academia and the corporate world, she seeks to innovate and enhance every initiative she undertakes. Beginning her academic career in 2009, Dr. Sumayya has held positions as an adjunct faculty member at several esteemed institutions, including IQRA University and Karachi Institute of economics & technology. In December 2014, she joined Iqra University Karachi as an Assistant Professor in the Business Administration Department. Her passion for education led her to pursue a Ph.D. in HRM from the same University Iqra, which she completed in August 2020. Throughout her doctoral journey, she gained valuable experience through lecturing, tutoring, and student consultations. Currently, Dr. Sumayya serves as an Associate Professor at IQRA University’s main campus in Karachi and is the Head of Department and Patron of the Women Empowerment Society. Her innovative spirit shines through her initiatives, including Passionate about empowering the next generation, Dr. Sumayya has organized numerous career counseling sessions and industry seminars, strengthening student internships and job placements. She is also an advocate for women's empowerment through her role as the patron of the NISA Women Empowerment Society. In addition to her academic contributions, she is not only dedicated to academic excellence but also actively engages in professional development, having completed certifications in Human Resources Analytics and advanced training workshops. Her contributions extend beyond her institution; she serves as a reviewer for several academic journals and has presented research at national and international conferences Through her work, Dr. Ume Sumayya exemplifies the integration of academic rigor and corporate relevance, paving the way for future generations to thrive in a collaborative environment.
