About Vaassen Peter

During my carrier I worked with a broad range of wet chemical and instrumental laboratory techniques. I’ve worked in sewers, on rooftops and between production machines. For 8 years I was manager of a production laboratory within the Philips organization. Besides this I acted as manager of a production line for sheet metal parts and as technical sales manager in the photo chemical etching business. Since 2007 I work on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven in a small team that performs chemical tests for suppliers to the semiconductor industry. In the beginning within the Philips organization, but in 2018 the department was bought by an American company, EAG, and now we are known as Eurofins EAG Materials Science Netherlands B.V. Typical tests within our team are Total Organic Contamination (TOC) with GC-FID, airborne particle release with laser diode technology particle counters and helium leak tightness. I am a specialist at these techniques. The methods we use are introduced by me. I am the most experienced team member and an inventive problem solver. The majority of customer contact about new parts and quality issues are handled by me. In my private live I have been volunteering for civil society organisations, secretary and treasurer of a sports club and build two houses. At the moment I am chairman of the association of owners of the complex I live in and help my almost 90 years old mother with the problems she faces in this digital world. In my spare time I read, ride my bike and during holidays I love to go scuba diving with my wife.
