Val is a Certified Master Trainer and Certified Behavioral Consultant, and has been certified by the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. He also holds a certification in canine first aid by the American Red Cross. Val is a graduate of Anthony Jerone's School of Dog Training, the only dog training school licensed by New York State. Val is also a member of Schutzhund USA and Pet Sitters International. Published over 50 articles and 2 books. Wrote a column for the Colorado Springs Gazette.
