About Vasanthi Argouin

I am currently working as an independent Producer and Programme Manager, primarily within the world of dance and theatre. My interest is in helping provide resources that enable and empower independent artists to make and share their art. Prior to becoming an independent Producer, I worked for several years within the Artist Development team at The Place, one of Europe’s most innovative dance spaces, and beforehand with Belarus Free Theatre, an international arts charity that runs integrated programmes in theatre production, civil society campaigns and education. I graduated from the University of Surrey with a First Degree in BA (Hons) Dance & Culture, where I was awarded the Creativity Prize from the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences. When I'm not working I enjoy live performances, walking/hiking, traveling (or planning travels), going to bookstores, reading books from the bookstores, making arts and crafts, writing and spending quality time with fellow humans.
