Veronica Smith is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and holds a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management. With over 20 years’ experience of safety, health, quality and environmental management in industry, built upon a career initially in pharmaceutical manufacturing, Veronica is highly experienced and knowledgeable in her field. A highly motivated, dynamic and committed individual, Veronica enjoys bringing enthusiasm and vitality to any project undertaken, whilst reaching successful resolution to any challenges presented. Veronica is highly analytical and pragmatic in approach, with excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels. A driver of continual improvement and positive culture, Veronica has a genuine desire to achieve the highest standards in legal compliance, quality and performance for all clients. Veronica strives to facilitate this through providing as much information, training and support as possible whilst maintaining positive relationships through motivation, team building and the setting of consistent and achievable objectives. As an ex Health and Safety Inspector with the Health and Safety Executive and Local Authority, Veronica is able to critically assess workplace situations to benchmark compliance with legislation in both the UK and Channel Islands. A qualified Lead Auditor, Veronica provides expert advice and guidance to businesses, based upon significant experience gained from working in the pharmaceutical industry, applying principles based upon fundamental management techniques using International and British Standards including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 through an integrated management approach with SMART objectives. Veronica works as Technical Specialist External Resource Assessor for BSI performing assessment and certification of organisations to the requirements of ISO 45001.
