About Vishnu Sureshkumar

As a Doctoral Researcher at TU Eindhoven, I am passionate about advancing the field of Chemical Engineering and creating novel solutions for complex industrial challenges. With over five years of research and innovation experience, I have expertise in process optimization, catalyst development, and reaction kinetics, applied to various domains such as fatty nitrile hydrogenation and hydrocarbon selective catalytic reduction. My current research focuses on intensifying the hydrogenation process by unravelling the kinetics, mass transfer, and catalyst deactivation mechanisms, and designing and developing innovative reactors, such as rotating foam stirrer and micro reactors. I use various analytical techniques, such as SEM, TEM, FTIR, NMR, and GC-MS, to support my experimental work and drive novel approaches. I also have strong leadership and communication skills, demonstrated through teaching assistantships and supervising projects, where I guide and mentor aspiring engineers and foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. My dedication to excellence has been recognized with the "Best Master Thesis" award in Environmental Engineering Science.
