After Post doctoral research in USA, having more than 18 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Polymorphism, Crystallization process development with PAT tools, Process chemistry and Advanced Solid state characterisation. At Glenmark life sciences, led process chemistry teams to develop low cost non-infringing RoS of both new and cost improvement APIs. Did Tech transfer and plant validations. Filed several US DMFs. Developed crystallization process for targeted polymorph of several APIs. Solved polymorph issues of several old commercial products. Expertise in invention of novel, stable, non-infringing, bio-equivalent solid forms/polymorphs for generic product development. Two novel solid forms led para IV ANDA and filed 8 DMFs of novel solid forms for future para IV ANDA. At Dr Reddy's enhanced Polymorphism and Crystallization department capabilities by establishing Robotic High Throughput Screening (HTS) platform and High Throughput PXRD - first time in India. By working with vendor the HTS platform was completely customized and developed as per generic pharma industry requirement. At Sai life sciences, CDMO, heading particle science and engineering department. Expertise in developing crystallization process of APIs for targeted solid phase pure polymorph and PSD using PAT tools such as FBRM and PVM. Expertise in resolving crystallisation issues such as oiling out, scaling, improving rate of filtration etc. Expert in advanced characterization with PXRD (VT/VH), DSC, TGA, HPLC, GC, KF, IC, Raman, NMR, Mass and single crystal XRD. Designing, screening and characterization of pharmaceutical co-crystals for product development. Filed an API co-crystal US-DMF, first time from India. Led analytical team, carryied out ICH stability studies, pre-formulation studies of various solid forms/Polymorphs and selected viable solid form for API development. Secured patents for invention of novel solid forms/Polymorphs of APIs, identifying crystallization processes and ROS development. 11 granted patents in USA 1 granted patent in India 31 PCT/USA published patent applications 36 Indian provisional patent applications 9. Published 38 research articles, one review and one book chapter. Total citations:> 6100 H-index: 24 i10-Index: 33 >1200 citations: Review article on pharmaceutical co-crystals (J. Pharm.
