About Vix Willems

I’m an independent law student at KU Leuven with a strong sense of fairness and responsibility, an eye for detail, and a brain that loves a good challenge (whether it’s decoding legal texts, organising events, or figuring out how to program a scheduling app in my spare time). With several years of experience in student services, academic support, and grassroots initiatives, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for collaboration, care, and constructive criticism on societal structures. My interests and activities often sit at the intersection of logic, accessibility, advocacy, and creativity. From co-founding student-led organisations to supporting students with disabilities through KU Leuven’s Assisted Living programme. I’m also a self-taught amateur programmer (although that is a bit of a stretch). I love experimenting with code, exploring its potential for efficiency and accessibility. Using trial and error to build small systems that make my life ever so slightly easier. Combine that with my love for structured arguments (I’ll never say no to a respectful debate!) and my hunger for research, and you’ll see why I’m secretly dreaming of academic work that’s rigorous, critical, and socially engaged.
