About Whitney Wild

I’m a CPA, CGA with 20+ years of experience helping organizations solve problems, strengthen governance, and build systems that work. While my background is in finance, what really drives me is strategy, collaboration, and making a lasting impact. My passion for accessible education comes from lived experience. Growing up in rural Alberta with limited resources, I relied on distance learning to complete my post-secondary education. That opportunity changed my life, and it’s why I care so deeply about expanding access for others. Alongside my work at Athabasca University, I serve as Treasurer and Director for the Northwestern Alberta Foundation and have held leadership roles with several nonprofits. These experiences have shaped me into a leader who values equity, community, and creating meaningful change. Organizations in the public and nonprofit sectors that support women and children, promote autism awareness, and advance accessibility hold a special place in my heart. These values continue to guide my work and community involvement, shaping how I lead and contribute.
