About Willair Vil

Willair brings nearly 40 years of experience managing workforce development, economic development initiatives, health & human services, and educational services programs for nationally recognized organizations such as United Way of NYC; The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle – Chief of Staff; City of Seattle – Planner Economic Development Initiatives; and Collaborated on initiatives with the Annie E Casey Foundation; National Workforce Coalition; People’s Institute for Survival & Beyond, etc. In addition, he spent five years as an Adjunct Professor with the Bachelor’s Completion program for Social Workers at Western Washington University. Willair has completed the District of Columbia Government Executive Leadership Program through George Washington University, the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce/City of Seattle’s Leadership Tomorrow as well as Boston’s Third Sector New England’s Non-Profit Executive Leadership Development program. His education includes an undergraduate in Pre-med, graduate studies in Public Administration, and Medical School in Mexico. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Haitian Kreyol. As a ten-year veteran of DCHR, he is currently a Learning & Development leader responsible for: managing and supporting Leadership Development programs; facilitating courses within the catalogue and as part of new initiatives; coaching staff at all levels of the District Government; supporting our public facing initiatives to serve identified needs of our external customers; and using 360 Evaluation as well as other tools to support higher functioning and performing organizations. Willair brings the following body of work to all the initiatives he engages in on behalf of DCHR: executive, organizational, career, and life coaching; Equity trainer & presenter; as well as organizational & leadership development strategic assessment, thinking, & presentation. In doing this work, he emphasizes the use of 360 evaluation, Strengths Finder, and other tools/instruments. Willair invests in both his personal and professional communities and has served as a Certified Executive Coach, 360 Evaluation from The Leadership Circle, Yogi, Mediator for both English and Spanish speakers, etc. His work is guided by a strong passion for social justice and equity.
