About William A.

A recent graduate of Georgia Gwinnett College, having majored in Management Information Systems with a minor in Information Technology. He has spent a semester studying abroad in Osaka, Japan at Kansai Gaidai University. Ranked in the top ten percent of his class with a Regent’s 4.0 and receiving Summa Cum Laude honors, he has earned many academic achievements including the Gilman Scholarship, President’s and Dean’s Awards, and membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honors society. Outside of classes, he served as the President of the International Business Club. He has over five years of experience in Publix Retail, consisting of managing small projects, grocery inventory and pricing databases, money management (including Western Union and money orders), and handling difficult situations with customers for mutually positive outcomes. He worked in the front-end through the worst of the pandemic, managing to juggle substantially higher workloads with his full-time studies. At GGC, he has completed various projects, including generating a world map of the COVID-19 outbreak from individual country case reports using Python and Pandas and presentations of and to business executives involved in international business and used Agile methodologies in a group setting to create a C# data frame application. In addition to his studies, he is currently learning Japanese to expand opportunities for international business overseas, ultimately looking to work towards a travel-based position.
