About William Yeoh

Prof William Yeoh is a Professor at Hong Kong Metropolitan University's Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. Previously, he served as an associate professor at Deakin University's Deakin Business School and was the Innovation Head of Deakin Cyber Research and Innovation Centre. Before joining Deakin, he was the Deputy Dean (R&D and Postgraduate Programs) at the University Tunku Abdul Rahman. He has successfully supervised 7 doctoral and 10 master theses. He is the Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research and the Big Data and Analytics Educational Conference Co-Chair. His scholarship has been published in top journals, including 8A* and 27A ABDC-ranked journals, and all top six IS conferences (e.g, ICIS), and has been supported by various funding bodies and industry (totaling over HKD$10M). His expert opinions have been featured on national news outlets, e.g, ABC Radio, SBS News, Australian Financial Review, The New Daily, etc. His research, teaching, and service have been recognised with prestigious national and international awards, including- The Researcher of the Year Award (a national award presented by the Australian Information Security Association, AISA is Australia's peak body for cyber security professionals)- The ICT Educator of the Year Gold Award (a national award by the Australian Computer Society - ACS is Australia’s peak ICT professional association & accreditation body)- Deakin Vice-Chancellor's Award for Value Innovation (in recognition of his leadership of IBM Centre of Excellence in Business Analytics)- Two-time internationally competitive IBM Faculty Awards- Deakin Faculty Research Excellence Award- Open Learning's Best Learning Experience Design Award Finalist (an internationally competitive award by ASX:OLL)- Australia's Top 25 Analytics Leaders, awarded by The Institute of Analytics Professionals of Australia (IAPA)- Best Paper Award at the 7th International Conference on Smart Computing and Informatics.
