Spent my entire working life in the meat industry. Left school at 16 and became a floor boy at ANZCO, stayed with the company for almost 10 years working my way up to becoming an A Grade boner. Studied business at Otago Polytech and moved to another company in the meat industry to start my career in management. I started out as a leading hand in the boning room then worked my way up to being the Production Supervisor, managing all aspects of the production line from receiving live cattle through to the final cartons exiting the packing room to the Coolstores.
