About Zeynep Ulker

I embarked on my academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Biology and Medicine at Fatih University, where I served until 2016. During this period, I progressed to the role of Assistant Professor, where I was responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in biochemistry and molecular genetics within both the Biology Department and the Medical School. Since 2022, I have held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Dentistry at Galata University. In this role, I deliver instruction in biostatistics and molecular genetics to undergraduate students specializing in dentistry. My academic journey reflects a strong dedication to interdisciplinary education and research, with a particular emphasis on the integration of molecular biology and genetics within the healthcare and dentistry fields. My research portfolio is diverse, encompassing the study of bioactive plant agents and their effects on cancer cell lines, both in vivo and in vitro. I have also been deeply involved in the design, production, and development of bionanomaterials, aiming to advance their application across various healthcare sectors, including drug development. Additionally, my work has focused on the investigation of super magnetic nanoparticles, particularly those incorporating bioactive molecules, and their potential therapeutic impact on cancer cell lines. Furthermore, I possess expertise in the development of products derived from medicinal and aromatic plants, with applications extending to the cosmetics, dental, healthcare, and broader industrial sectors.
