About Zoey Cui

As a Khoury Research Apprentice and an MSCS student at Northeastern University, I am passionate about applying my skills in computer science, mathematical modeling, and mobile development to solve real-world problems. I am actively seeking a 2024 SDE/Mobile Engineer new grad opportunity, where I can leverage my experience and knowledge to create innovative and impactful solutions. In 2022, I worked as a Web Application Developer Co-op at UPS, where I developed and deployed web applications using Node.js, MongoDB, and React. I also collaborated with other developers and stakeholders to improve the user interface, functionality, and performance of the applications. During this experience, I gained valuable skills in web development, agile methodology, and team communication. Before joining NEU, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ocean University of China, where I developed a strong foundation in programming languages, algorithms, and data structures. I also participated in several mathematical modeling contests, where I applied my analytical and problem-solving skills to create models and algorithms using MATLAB, SPSS, and Lingo. I won the First Prize in the 2018 China's Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling and the Honorable Mention in the 2019 Mathematical Contest in Modeling. At NEU, I continued to enhance my skills and interests in computer science, especially in mobile development. I learned how to use Android Studio, Firebase, and other tools to create mobile applications for various purposes and platforms. I also worked as a Mobile Application Teaching Assistant, where I helped students learn and practice mobile development concepts and techniques. Through these experiences, I became more confident and proficient in mobile development, and I aspire to be a Mobile Engineer in the future.
