Cavit, a leading name in the Italian wine industry, brings together eleven co-operative wineries, which represent over 5,250 associated winegrowers distributed throughout the territory. At its headquarters in Ravina di Trento, Cavit receives and selects the raw material produced by the co-operative members, carrying out controls at every stage – from the harvest right through to marketing. A pioneer of innovation since 2010 with its PICA technology platform, Cavit is a unique example in Italy of know-how of the most advanced precision viticulture techniques and cutting-edge oenological research. Cavit produces a range of wines that express all the variety of Trentino's viticultural heritage and the excellence of Trentodoc sparkling wines with the flagship brand Altemasi Thanks to a strategy of business diversification by country, channel and product line, Cavit is present throughout the world in both modern distribution and the horeca sector with an export quota that represents 75% of the entire production. In the United States, in particular, Cavit is the most popular Italian wine brand. Cavit is the head of Cavit Group, which includes the companies Cesarini Sforza SpA, Casa Girelli SpA and GLV Srl (the latter at 80%) acquired in December 2019, as well as the German winery Kessler Sekt (50.1% controlled). The Cavit Group ended the 2020-2021 financial year with a consolidated turnover of 271 million euros.
