JIDOP stands for ''Justice Initiative for the Disadvantaged and Oppressed Persons'' AIMS & OBJECTIVES: 1. To assist in enhancing access to justice by all irrespective of nationality, religion, creed or tribe 2. To assist in deepening constitutional democracy in Africa by encouraging participation of both the physically and educationally challenged persons during elections 3. To assist in enhancing participatory democracy through voter education and enlightenment 4. To participate in election monitoring as a means of improving credibility of elections and reducing election related violence in Africa 5. To encourage the disadvantaged and oppressed persons to participate in electoral processes in Africa 6. To engage in all other activities that are incidental to the achievement of the objectives of the initiative 7. To solicit for and support the empowerment of the disadvantaged and oppressed persons through scholarships and business support programs 8. To solicit for, receive and distribute items of charity, donations and grants to the disadvantaged and oppressed persons 9. To engage in and support all efforts and activities that are designed to facilitate the enforcement of human rights of the disadvantaged and oppressed persons 10. To support all efforts, programs and policies of governments designed to fight corruption, financial crimes, fraud and other forms criminality that ultimately bear on the welfare and well being of the disadvantaged and oppressed persons
