4th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters North East is a new, adaptable force brigade based in Yorkshire and the North East of England. This new formation comprises Regular and Reserve Army units that have the capability to carry out a wide range of missions.'The Black Rats' are the lead light brigade in the newly formed Joint Expeditionary Force (Land), to provide a scalable and widely employable non-standing force to suit niche or small to medium operations. This new formation is also capable of providing the core of a manoeuvre support brigade within a Vanguard division in a warfighting scenario. The Brigade was established on 1st December 2014 and is headquartered in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire. In 2019 The Brigade Headquarters moved to new facilities at Bourlon Barracks.

We are part of the national uniformed youth organisation, the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. Hants & IOW Wing Supports 24 local Squadrons based in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, UK. Our staff are predominantly volunteers supported by a small team of permanent staff. We aim to inspire young people, aged 12 to 19, with an interest in Aviation, Space, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine. If you know someone aged 12-19 who may be interested then just ask them to look us up and consider joining us. We are based in most towns and cities in Hampshire. If you are aged 20+ we are always seeking volunteers, the time commitment varies from giving two evenings a week and a weekend a month, to a couple of hours per month.

We are highly experienced in working with targeted, complex and high-risk beneficiaries, with multiple complexities such as severe and enduring mental and physical including health including PTSD, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness, domestic abuse, anger and grief. All our staff and volunteers are from the Armed Forces Community and our team are highly skilled with many transferable skills from successful military careers.

Rotherham Mcvc Military Community Veterans Centre
ROTHERHAM MCVC (MILITARY COMMUNITY VETERANS CENTRE) The MCVC was formed in January 2012 following the signing of the Armed Forces Community Covenant, the heart of which is to ensure that those who serve in the armed forces whether regular or reserve, and those who have served in the past, together with their families, will not face disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services. We are a young Charity who operate without any form of regular income, providing support and guidance for ex service personnel and their families within Rotherham and its neighbouring communities. Relying entirely on the generosity of a small team of volunteers who give their time willingly and freely, the MCVC consists of both serving and ex service members of the armed forces, dependents and members of associated organisations working tirelessly to deliver a one stop point of contact offering help, advice, guidance and support on a wide range of topics (i.e. welfare, healthcare, housing, employment, benefits, training etc.), including the provision of a 24 hour contact line, a weekly 'Drop In' Centre, a Breakfast Club, a mobile Outreach Service and a Befriending Service for housebound & isolated veterans. We also provide a collection and return service for those on the befriending programme wishing to attend the Friday 'Drop In', all of which sets us apart from other military charities. Through our outreach we raise awareness amongst the wider public of the issues that affect the armed forces community, most notably the difficulties associated with the transition from military to civilian life, employment, housing and cultural differences and the potential for disadvantage, exclusion and long term issues should that transition not be successful. In such instances we are able to signpost to the appropriate support to help with the reintegration process which also helps reduce long term issues requiring more expensive interventions.

The West Midland Reserve Forces & Cadets Association's (WMRFCA) role is to support the Reserve Forces of the Army (Army Reserve), Navy (Royal Naval Reserve and Royal Marines Reserve), Air Force (RAF Reserves) and the Cadets within the West Midlands Region, encompassing the counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, est Midlands, Worcestershire and Herefordshire and the Metropolitan Boroughs of Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull and Coventry. This support is provided from our headquarters staff in Birmingham and from our volunteers spread throughout the region. We provide an essential representative link between the military forces and the local community, raising awareness of the benefits and skills gained through part-time military service, and assisting with recruiting. We also maintain the Reserve Forces and Cadets estate. Our Employer Engagement Team are an impartial Ministry of Defence (MOD) body, which provides support to members of the Reserve Forces and their employers. They encourage employers to engage with and support the Defence Community, thus demonstrating the highest level of Corporate Social Responsibility. 167 Catering Support Regiment Rlc
167 Catering Support Regiment RLC is a unique regiment of nationally recruited Army Reserve Chefs. This means we have soldiers and officers located all over the UK. With its headquarters in Grantham, its primary role is to provide catering support to the British Army, anywhere and in any environment. While 167 Regiment RLC is a unique unit in the British Army we are soldiers first. With a minimum Reserve commitment of 19 days a year, there is flexibility to increase this to 199 days a year in some cases. 167RLC is proud to be a diverse and inclusive family regiment. Our mission statement: To provide trained Reserve Chefs able to fully integrate into any Army Formation in order to deliver first class catering support to deployed forces. Our chefs are skilled in: Improvised field catering, mass catering, VIP functions and competition catering. We conduct an overseas training camp as a regiment, every two years. It involves military training, adventurous training and catering development training. h We achieve all we achieve through training and experience. Training is delivered by the Army School of Reserve Catering. Our personnel also benefit from leadership and development training to maximise their potential. This begins with basic training and following this, promotion courses and specialist management courses. Our Army Reserve Chefs have the opportunity to fast-track into the Regular Army.

1st Battalion Welsh Guards
1st Battalion Welsh Guards As a Foot Guards' Regiment in the Household Division, the Welsh Guards are proud to provide the guard for Her Majesty the Queen at her royal residences. Whilst on ceremonial duties the Battalion spends much of its time based in central London. The Regiment is currently based in Elizabeth Barracks, Pirbright. A Guardsman who has served with the Battalion for the last ten years will have been on tours to Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan, interspersed with fire fighting, sport, adventurous training and exercises all over the world including Belize, Kenya and the Falkland Islands. In addition, they would have carried out state ceremonial and public duties, demonstrating the busy and incredibly varied nature of life as a Guardsman in the modern day British Army. In February 2016 the Battalion re-roled to Light Mechanised Infantry and began utilising the Foxhound vehicle. On the horizon for the Battalion is a period of learning about and training with the new vehicles culminating in a battlegroup level exercise – Exercise WESSEX STORM - in early 2017. This will confirm that the Welsh Guards are ready to deploy anywhere in the world.

Supporting today’s widows- The Army Widows’ Association was formed by widows in 2004. We are a volunteer run Organisation and Charity. Our aim is to offer comfort, support and friendship to the widows and widowers of service men and women. We aim to offer help on their terms when they need it. We know that despite all the love and support from family and friends, widows/widowers can feel very alone. All the members have lost their husbands, wives or partners, under a variety of different circumstances, and are able to offer support and sympathy to those who have been recently widowed. The Association is totally independent, and run by our members, although it does work closely with the MOD and the Army Welfare Policy Branch. We have received support from the Army Benevolent Fund, Veterans' Foundation and the BFBS. We are also in contact with many other service-related charities.

Challenge Coins Uk Ltd
Established in 2017 by former serviceman, Tom Newey, Challenge Coins UK is resetting the standard for Challenge Coins in the British Armed Forces with stunning designs that include 3D elements and attention to detail. Tom completed basic training at ATR Bassingbourn before joining the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and beginning training as an Aircraft Technician at Arborfield. Once trained Tom was posted to 3 Regiment Army Air Corps at Wattisham Airfield, an Apache helicopter unit. Whilst posted to 663 Squadron Tom completed a tour of Afghanistan in 2013 and spent long periods of time on exercise in America. Tom was given his first challenge coin whilst on exercise in Southern California by a US Navy Blue Angels display team technician. After swapping some patches for the coin, Tom felt his unit needed a coin to swap with the Americans. An initial batch of coins were made and sold in under two weeks!
