Al's Pals Mentorship Program
Each year, university students volunteer as mentors to help mentees with completing homework, reinforcing reading and math skills, and participating in enrichment and recreational activities. Al’s Pals mentors commit one afternoon weekly, Mondays- Thursdays, from 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for 10 weeks during the semester to serve elementary students in 1st through 5th grades at local school sites. It’s a great way to get involved and meet fellow students while making a difference in children’s lives.

Animal Rights Initiative (ARI) is a 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States dedicated to conserving our natural biodiversity and ending animal suffering through a multifaceted approach. What makes us different is that we combine government, community and corporate outreach to achieve our goals of legislative protections and corporate policy changes. Because of the exponentiated risks of zoonotic illness transmission and excessive waste contributing to Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs), our focus is primarily on factory farms and breeding mills. Animal use is deeply entrenched in human livelihoods; we are committed to staying flexible and pro-active to improve as many industries as we can in order to increase quality of life and reach biosecurity.

MISSION Assist ME empowers individuals with impaired mobility to regain their independence and quality of life. We achieve this by collecting, refurbishing, and providing high-quality mobility-related medical equipment that enhances comfort, function, and overall well-being. VISION We envision a community where mobility means independence, and every person—regardless of their circumstances—has access to the medical mobility equipment they need to live with dignity and freedom. HOW WE DO IT Through our all-volunteer model, we collect gently used and durable medical equipment, such as manual wheelchairs, bedside commodes, and tub transfer benches. We carefully refurbish these items and gift them at no cost to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured individuals across the greater Charlotte area.

Chicago Area Project Cap
Chicago Area Project (CAP) was founded in the 1930's by Clifford Shaw, a University of Chicago sociologist, who believed every neighborhood could reduce juvenile delinquency by improving community life. Our original mission has not changed since that founding. CAP's long history of community building has demonstrated that low-income residents are as capable as others in addressing critical neighborhood issues. CAP believes that community problems cannot be solved by bringing in outside agencies to "fix" local problems such as delinquency, gang violence, substance abuse, and unemployment. Chicago Area Project is a strong network of more than 30 grassroots organizations and numerous special projects aimed at promoting positive youth development and preventing juvenile delinquency through community-building. Begun in 1934, CAP is founded on the concept that every neighborhood has the leaders it needs to solve its own problems. CAP identifies community leaders and supports their grassroots efforts to mobilize residents to create grass-root driven community organizations aimed at addressing risk-factors and strengthening protective factors to support and guide young people, families and community conditions contributing to unhealthy socio-economic circumstances Working together, neighborhood leaders and residents prioritize neighborhood-specific issues, seek effective solutions, and identify available resources to address them.

Digifli Digital Bulletin Board Network And Digital Signage
Digifli works with.EDU.GOV, and.COM to manage digital screens across various environments. From a dozen to thousands of screens located nationwide, we make distributing information easier and less expensive. Digifli started as a Community Bulletin Board in 2017 and created a dynamic yet simple user interface to allow users to control screens from any mobile device or computer. In 2023 we worked with Stanford University's d.school to create a private network version of our product. Community managers and Stanford now distribute communications to muiltiple buildings with one click. Our technology can convert your existing screens to Digifli Nodes and give you total control. We also supply refurbished e-waste screens in grade A condition to help reduce waste.
