Street Child Of Liberia - Scol
Street Child of Liberia - SCoL- is a local non governmental organization that works to empower vulnerable children through education, Child Protection and Family Livelihood. Our Purpose is to see all Children Safe, in School and Learning. Street Child started working in Liberia in 2013. Helping street-connected children in the capital of Monrovia. When Liberia was hit by the Ebola Crisis, we expanded our work to support the thousands of Children impacted by Ebola to go to school. Street Child is now working in three regions across Liberia: Montserrado, Margibi and Maryland counties. having reached over out of school children, Street Child continues to work side by side with rural communities to kick-start and transform education through classroom construction, investment in training and development of teachers, and the development of community advocacy and sustainability strategies. To date, over 3,177 households in Liberia have been supported to develop a sustainable source of income through a tailored package of training, business grants and saving/mentoring. This model of financial empowerment, alongside intensive social support and community level advocacy has led to the enrollment and retention of more than 8,920 children in Liberia.

President's Young Professionals Program
Launched in 2009, the President’s Young Professionals Program (PYPP) is one of Liberia’s most competitive innovations for youth leadership development in Liberia's civil service. The PYPP recruits, trains, and prepares young promising, and talented Liberian college graduates for a future in public service. In the short term, PYPs provide additional support to the government and private sector institutions by performing a variety of critical tasks as needed. The Organization's long-term goal is to create the next generation of qualified professionals who are able and committed to working for the Government of Liberia (GoL), thereby increasing public sector capacity and contributing to good governance and strong leadership. The two-year fellowship includes a strong training and mentoring component, pairing each young professional with a Fellow or other mentor within the host entity as well as offering a monthly professional training program, one-on-one training and evaluation, and a monthly stipend. The Organization's continued growth is marked by the investments of new donors and partners, ensuring its long-term viability and establishment as Liberia’s premier civil service training initiative. The PYPP is currently a non-profit organization in a public-private partnership with the government of Liberia.

Improve Liberia Foundation is a non-profit NGO founded in 2017 and fully accredited in 2020. It engenders to advance the standard of education in Liberia and provides better livelihood for people with disabilities. The Foundation poses distinct attention to quality education, respect for the fundamental human rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and gender equality, democracy, and helps to unleash positive social and economic change as they remain critical principles backing the enjoyment of developmental programs in the country. Background Girls Initiative Liberia–GIL was founded through the innovation of Ms. Emily A Siassay, on March 6, 2020. The establishment of this noble organization was inspired by the alarming rate of teenage pregnancy, early parenthood, lack of innovation, and the increase in the stereotypical norms that subject young girls in our country, Liberia. AIMS Girls Initiative Liberia–GIL strives to create a platform for young women to voice out societal ills against them; promote gender equality and instill values that seek to spot the potential in females. GIL also aims for a sustainable livelihood for less fortunate Women and girls through educational seminars, vocational and technical education, micro-economic empowerment, and others. Vision Girls Initiative Liberia–GIL envisions a society where gender sensitivity is an integral part of all sectors of our society. GIL also seeks justice for all, especially women and girls who continue to feel the scourge of rape and other social injustices that continues to stall the development of women and girls among their male counterparts Mission Girls' Initiative Liberia–GIL creates avenues for adequate awareness of sexual reproductive health and rights, Teenage Pregnancy, Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), Peer Pressure, HIV/Aids, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), Sexually Transmitted Infections(STIs), and most importantly, develops and empowers women and girls throughout Liberia.
