I 1934 grundlagde Johannes Dahl sin købmandsforretning med åleruser og fiskenet i sortimentet, på Limfjords-øen Fur. Samme år grundlagde Thomas Frydendahl sin skibsprovianterings-forretning med fiskenet i sortimentet, i Hvide Sande på vestkysten af Jylland. Sammenlægningen har som nævnt betydet et bredt udvalg af fiskeriartikler, hvoraf en stor del af sortimentet produceres på egne fabrikker i såvel Malaysia som Estland. Daconet leverer og servicerer i dag til både erhvervsfiskere og fritidsfiskere, hvor vi de seneste år har investeret massivt i ny teknologi, således vi i dag kan tilbyde denne service via internettet og vores webshop. På vores webshop finder du vores nye katalog med hele vort store vareudbud af fiskenet - monterede såvel som umonterede, ruser, kroge, tejner, beklædning, maling og meget andet. Wittrup Seafood A/S er hovedsagligt selvforsynende med muslinger. Virksomheden råder over 4 muslingebåde og har fiskerettigheder på Isefjorden på Sjælland og på den jyske østkyst. Via et salgskontor i Holland eksporteres størstedelen af muslingerne fra Wittrup Seafood til detailkæder i Europa, resten sælges til danske fiskehandlere og restauranter. Wittrup Seafood A/S er placeret for enden af Horsens havn. Muslingerne kan læsses direkte på kajen. Wittrup Seafood A/S blev grundlagt i 1989 af de to brødre Stig og Rasmus Wittrup. Musholm A S
Musholm A/S is an aquaculture company based out of Denmark. Musholm is specialized in sea farming of trout of the species Oncorhynchus mykiss. Our production is vertically integrated as we cover the entire life cycle of the fish from egg and smolt to large fish reared in sea farms. Musholm has a modern processing plant and a computerized traceability system for complete tracking of all its products. Our head office is situated in the port of Reersoe approx. 110 km west of Copenhagen. Our hatcheries and smolt farms are situated in Jutland and our sea farms in the Great Belt. Fresh trout from Musholm is available during the harvesting season from October until the end of December. The remaining part of the year, we primarily sell frozen trout. At 2-3 years of age the trout is harvested and has attained sizes ranging from 1 to 5 kg with the majority between 2-4 kg. We calibrate (size grade) the fish in intervals of 500 g, but different sizes are available upon request. We grade the trout according to meat color on the Roche scale in 13-1 4/R, 14-15/R and 15-16/R. In addition to whole trout, Musholm offers a range of value added trout products such as fillets, steaks and portions for reprocessing, catering and retail – for private label or Musholm brand. Musholm also produces trout roe into various products, e.g. Sujiko and Ikura for the Japanese market, – and fresh and frozen trout eggs (caviar), lightly salted, pasteurized in jars or naturel in special packings for food-service and retailers.

On a global level, Europe is producing 10% of the world's fishmeal and 20% of the world's fish oil. Fishmeal and fish oil are important marine ingredients with an increasing global demand. Used for aquaculture, human consumption and animal feeds, the products bring the important omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA in to the human food chain via farmed fish and fish oil supplements. The fishmeal and fish oil industry in Europe produces tonnes of fishmeal and tonnes of fish oil annually and the total value of production is approximately 1 billion €/year. Exports go to a large variety of countries. Production is based on landings of small, oily, short-lived species such as blue whiting, capelin, sand eel, Norway pout and sprat as well as by-products (trimmings) from the consumption fish processing sector. The production sites of the European fishmeal and fish oil industry are placed in more remote coastal areas and the sector contributes to growth and development in coastal communities across Europe. Production is based on a sustainable exploitation of resources and the sector meets the international standards and certifications applying to raw materials, production and traceability. European Fishmeal represents producers from EU as well as non-EU countries. The member countries are Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Norway and the United Kingdom. European Fishmeal and Fish Oil Producers was called EUfishmeal until March 2020.
