Estonian Academy Of Arts
The Estonian Academy of Arts, founded in 1914, is the only public university in Estonia offering higher education in architecture, design, arts and art culture. It is an active study and research institution and the leading national center of innovation in visual culture, shaping the regional cultural space and helping to create a more sustainable living environment. EKA is listed among Top 200 Architecture and Design Universities in the World by QS World University Rankings. Established in 1988, EBS is the oldest privately owned business university located in the heart of Tallinn, Estonia and Helsinki, Finland. Estonian Academy Of Music And Theatre
The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre is a public university offering higher education in all major fields of music and dramatic arts at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. Bachelor’s degree programmes in music provide training for vocalists and instrumentalists, as well as conductors, composers, musicologists, music teachers and sound engineers. Master’s degree programmes offer additional education and training in chamber music, accompaniment, early music, contemporary improvisation and cultural management. The curricula for performing musicians focus on solo, ensemble and orchestral performance as well as opera. Courses in music theory, history and the humanities and teacher training are also offered. The EAMT’s Drama Department prepares actors, directors and playwrights for active careers in the modern world. The international MA in contemporary physical performance making (CPPM) is an advanced training course for professional performers and theatre makers from all disciplines who wish to develop, rethink and challenge their artistic processes and creative practices. A two-year joint master’s programme in contemporary performance and composition (CoPeCo) is also offered through a consortium of schools that includes the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Dance in Lyon and the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. The doctoral programme awards PhD degrees in musicology and in music and dramatic art. In 2019, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre was for the first time included in the QS World University Ranking, which is one of the top international ranking systems measuring the popularity and performance of universities from all over the world. Being the only music university from Baltic states on the QS list, EAMT is currently sharing position 51-100 in the category of performing arts.

Mobility Lab, University Of Tartu
By understanding human mobility at a range of spatial and temporal scales, we aim to develop better knowledge of a variety of socio-spatial phenomena occurring within and across our cities, regions, and countries. With open data, methods, tools, and research results, we aim to better understand our society while supporting evidence-based decision-making and smart governance towards a sustainable future. Our research interests include diverse topics related to human mobility such as human presence and spatial mobility, social networks and socio-spatial inequalities in activity space, environmental exposure and urban sustainability, tourism and transnational lifestyles, as well as dynamic populations and crisis management. Since the we have been the pioneers of mobile phone data-based research and methodological development for governance and official statistics. In our analyses, we use mobile phone data from mobile network operators and smartphone GPS-level data from an in-house developed smartphone application called MobilityLog. Furthermore, we combine bike share data, mobility surveys, public transit data, environmental geospatial data sets, population register, and census data in our analyses and applications. Our rich data sets are stored in the Infotechnological Mobility Observatory, which is an innovative and comprehensive data bank that supports diverse mobility research in collaboration with our partners. We carry out our mission through cutting-edge research and applied science projects, teaching on all study levels, and via individual supervision of students and early career researchers. Since 2008, we have been organising the biennial Mobile Tartu Conference, which brings together leading scholars, researchers, and professionals to discuss the latest research and applications in human mobility and mobile big data: mobiletartu.ut.ee.

The University of Tartu Narva College is a regional unit of the University of Tartu, located in the border town of Narva. We have around 800 students and more than 70 dedicated staff members. We offer high-quality higher education in six bachelor’s and master’s curricula. Our range of specialisations is diverse – from teacher education and youth work to entrepreneurship, IT, robotics and data science applications. Additionally, we offer a wide selection of continuing education programmes in pedagogy, management, language immersion, and youth work, making us one of the largest providers of continuing education in the region. Based on the research potential of the University of Tartu, we conduct studies and development projects both in Estonia and internationally. Our research focuses on integrated subject and language learning, topics of multicultural society and education, and the development of digital solutions for industry.
