Adelaide Workers' Homes Incorporated
Adelaide Workers’ Homes Incorporated was founded as a progressive organisation based on the simple belief that people deserve access to affordable housing. The issue of affordable housing is every bit as contemporary today as it was when Sir Thomas Elder founded the not-for-profit organisation in 1898.

Regional Housing Victoria
Virtually every community across rural and regional Victoria is scrambling to address a shortage of housing that is affordable, liveable and secure. In many areas, rents have increased by over 50% in five years…. If you can find somewhere to rent. Costs of buying or building homes have increased. People living in homelessness are being offered tents for a family and a swag if you are single. Jobs are not being filled because new people looking to move to town can’t find a home. This is a national problem, but we feel that the solutions are much harder to find in rural and regional communities where housing has historically been available and affordable. But you know all this already. Regional Housing Victoria is a purpose driven consultancy with tools and resources to assist communities to identify local challenges and opportunities and then take action. Addressing the shortfall in safe, secure and affordable housing is a complex, slow and frustrating journey – a marathon, not a sprint. Steve Dunn and Roger Hastrich, Directors of Regional Housing Victoria, have a wealth of experience in state and local government along with the community sector and a deep understanding of the complex housing eco-system. We work on social and key worker housing; land supply & forging partnerships. We have tools relating to data / planning / co-ordination and community engagement. Aboriginal Women & Children's Crisis Service
The Aboriginal Women & Children’s Crisis Service fundamentally believes in, values and respects the rights of Aboriginal women and children in relation to a life free of violence and oppression. The Service receives funding from the Department of Communities and Justice to assist Aboriginal women and their dependent children escaping Domestic and/or Family Violence. The Aboriginal Women & Children’s Crisis Service acknowledges the emotional, social, physical, and psychological effects of colonisation on Aboriginal people. It also recognises that the legacy of colonisation is not in the past and that it continues to impact in a myriad of ways on the lives of Aboriginal people, including their housing, health, mental health and wellbeing. The staff specialise in delivering a holistic, spiritual and culturally-sensitive approach when supporting Aboriginal women and children who have escaped Domestic and/or Family Violence. The Service supports Aboriginal women and children through advocacy and referral to various services on behalf of the clients to apply for Apprehended Violence Orders, access crisis accommodation, legal support, housing, women’s health centres, and various government departments. The Aboriginal Women and Children’s Crisis Service acknowledges that children who access our services require individual trauma-informed care for various complex needs. Children are treated as clients in their own right, and are offered the full range of services available under the guidance of their accompanying parent or carer. Children receive culturally-appropriate case management under the guidance of their accompanying parent or carer.

Hartwood Hub
Hartwood Hub is a privately owned profit for purpose business, based in Brisbane, Queensland. Our goal is to reduce the number of women who find themselves at risk of homelessness due to circumstances outside of their control. These could include becoming widowed, divorced, or other life-changing trauma. We focus on providing safe and affordable rental accommodation to women who do not meet normal rental criteria due to lack of rental history or income sources that are considered by many rental companies to be ‘too risky” including passive income, freelance income, DSP, and other pensions and benefits. Our assessments for placement are based on the person and their individual story not the numbers on the page.
