Ndi Ukraine
The National Democratic Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide through citizen participation, openness and accountability in government. NDI has supported Ukraine’s democratic development from the earliest days of its independence. Over the past 30 years, the Institute has developed broad and deep relationships with government representatives, national and local leaders of parties across the political spectrum, and a broad network of civic actors. Over three decades of independence, Ukrainians have consistently defended their democracy against threats both external and internal. The “Revolution of Dignity” in 2014 demonstrated the Ukrainian commitment to democratic reforms and a closer relationship with the West. Most recently, the brutal full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 has reinforced Ukrainian support for the country’s democratic future, according to NDI’s public opinion research. In addition to the war, the country faces substantial political and economic challenges. These include: establishing anti-corruption mechanisms; adopting political and electoral reforms; pursuing inclusive and democratic reconstruction; safeguarding political pluralism; and providing continued support to women, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups as they participate in public life both during and after the war.

Frontier Operations
We are a collection of professionals brought together to solve some of the world’s most complex problems in the most challenging environments. Our workspace is the embodiment of our corporate namesake - the Frontier. We go beyond where it is considered safe and certain. We push beyond those boundaries in the pursuit of our ethos to serve others. Inspired by the bravery and sacrifice of the Ukrainian people following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the founding partners all deployed independently of each other to lean in, do what they could, and try and move the needle in the face of tyranny. Their shared commitment to standing in the gap and helping those seeking freedom was the beginning of Frontier Operations and that commitment is the cornerstone of our future. When people desire progress, opportunity, and stability, they deserve true partners that seek to elevate them and their goals. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them, working tirelessly to bring about positive change. We are committed to achieving effectiveness for those we serve, which is why we operate as a discrete and high-performing team. We are inspired by the bravery and sacrifice by those we are called to serve in pre, active, and post-conflict situations.

Willard Global Strategies
Willard Global Strategies: Innovation for Causes that Matter "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"—A 400-year-old physics question. It's a fact, Willard Global Strategies can't build a solid-fuel rocket, perform brain surgery or draw up a blueprint for a high-tech system to bring clean water and food to a remote village. What we do well is crucial heavy-lifting to bring game-changing ideas to life and to lives— to the people who need to use them. We do this from remote villages to the boardroom. We explain the rocket's benefits, we amplify the mysteries of brain surgery, and we elevate to influential audiences the need to solve water and food crises. When our clients prove an innovative idea makes lives better we help them or others bring it to more people/replicate it in local communities and across the globe. As multi-media storytellers and behind-the-scenes advocates, we interpret those ideas for social entrepreneurs, impact investors, funders, NGOs, politicians and corporations. So, they too can do their part to provide change for the better. Why are we so good at this? We’ve been doing it for decades and we wouldn’t want to do anything else. Not only that, we are journalists, PR strategists, marketing/branding experts, policy wonks, passionate advocates, government advisors, and business/entrepreneurs. We see the angles, the ways to make things happen, to bring people on board, to back our clients’ initiatives/work. We also see the warning signs of potential disaster/setbacks. In doing so, we have worked from Belarus to Bangladesh, from Cambodia to Katmandu, from Kyiv to Kyoto, and from Ghana to the Republic of Georgia—and points in between. In other words, when that metaphoric tree falls in the forest, we make sure it is not only heard but also seen, and people take action to ensure beneficial needs are met.

Usaid Economic Resilience Activity Era
AGRI-UKRAINE GRAIN EXPORT LOGISTICS USAID’s Economic Resilience Activity (ERA) is one of USAID’s core partners implementing the $350 million Agriculture Resilience Initiative – Ukraine (AGRI-Ukraine) that was established in 2022 to bolster Ukrainian agricultural exports and alleviate the global food security crisis exacerbated by the war. Under AGRI-Ukraine, ERA partners with public and private companies to complement and leverage urgently-needed grain transportation and transshipment investments. INFRASTRUCTURAL IMPROVEMENTS ERA also directly supports the Government of Ukraine, including the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine (SARDI), the State Customs Service and Ukrainian Railways, to upgrade 42 of Ukraine’s border crossing points (BCPs). Modern and more efficient border infrastructure and customs procedures will reduce export costs and increase export capacity, enabling Ukraine to scale trade and advance its path to EU integration. ERA BACKGROUND Ukraine’s efforts to win the future – emerging from Russia’s full-scale war ready to accelerate its development as a sovereign, independent, democratic, and prosperous state – require a dynamic, inclusive economic recovery. Through partnerships with the government and robust private sector engagement, ERA has supported economic growth and resilience in Ukraine since 2018. Following Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and subsequent occupation of the part of Ukraine, ERA shifted from its focus on Eastern Ukraine to cover development priorities across the country that address Ukraine’s urgent needs in export logistics and infrastructural improvements. Eu Advisory Mission Ukraine
In 2014, the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) was established and international advisors were brought to the country from Europe. The events of the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014 deepened the distrust of the Ukrainian public towards government and security forces, following a series of violent events involving protesters, riot police, and unknown shooters in the capital, Kyiv. That is why the Ukrainian government reached out to the EU for support to reform law-enforcement and rule of law institutions and re-establish trust with the people. Since 2014, EUAM has worked closely with its Ukrainian counterparts to expedite a sustainable reform of the civilian security sector, providing strategic advice and practical support for specific reform measures in accordance with EU standards and international principles of good governance and human rights. The EUAM team of over 350 Ukrainian and international staff delivers the EUAM mandate that strives to create a civilian security sector for Ukraine that is efficient, accountable and enjoys the trust of the public.
