Art-Werk
art-werk is a non-profit association for the promotion and diffusion of art committed to contemporary social and environmental concerns. The association creates exhibitions and an open educational program, produces and offers free access to a regular podcast, articles and a newsletter focusing on the connections between art, science and societal issues. Based in Geneva, art-werk is made up of a interdisciplinary team and a committee of mainly volunteers; art historians, artists, scientists, computer scientists and human rights specialists. The association is looking for ways of mediation to share a sharp vision of contemporary art with a public of different ages, genders and sociocultural backgrounds. Through its nomadic activities and a multilingual approach in French, German and English, the association also participates in promoting artistic exchanges between the Swiss linguistic regions and neighbouring countries. The strong ties that unite art-werk with the city of Berlin, where part of the team works, allow the opening of a network of artists, academics and actors of the associative world and connect two complementary cities in terms of international organization and multicultural artistic practices.

Musec Museo Delle Culture Lugano
Situato sul lungolago di Lugano nella storica Villa Malpensata, il MUSEC propone un ricco programma di esposizioni ed eventi dedicati alle arti etniche e orientali, alla creatività infantile, all’arte moderna e contemporanea. Lo Spazio Maraini è interamente dedicato alla fotografia storica e contemporanea. Al piano terra e al primo piano lo Spazio Mostre accoglie le grandi esposizioni. Al secondo piano lo Spazio Cielo permette di scoprire nuove collezioni e l’opera di artisti contemporanei. Inoltre è accessibile gratuitamente lo Spazio Tesoro, con highlight delle collezioni permanenti. Il MUSEC conserva i capolavori dell’arte dei Mari del Sud, donati dall’artista svizzero Serge Brignoni alla Città di Lugano. Nel corso degli anni si sono aggiunte altre numerose e prestigiose collezioni tra cui una delle più importanti raccolte a livello mondiale di fotografie giapponesi di fine Ottocento dipinte a mano. Dal primo gennaio 2019 il MUSEC è affidato a una Fondazione che ne assicura il funzionamento, mantenendone l’identità, l’autonomia e l’immagine. La "Fondazione culture e musei (FCM)" permette una gestione più efficace, capace di generare ulteriori sinergie ed economie di scopo e di intensificare l'interazione con il territorio e con il pubblico. Il MUSEC, in tal modo, ne trae innumerevoli vantaggi, che permettono di continuare e migliorare il lavoro sin qui svolto, in tutti gli ambiti delle sue innumerevoli attività.

Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg
Depuis sa fondation en 1981, Friart a organisé plus de 160 expositions et 30 projets hors-les-murs, ainsi qu’un riche programme de conférences, discussions et performances. En 1991, le Centre d’art est installé dans un bâtiment industriel aux Petites-Rames 22, dans la vieille ville de Fribourg. Au carrefour des différentes régions linguistiques, c’est un lieu d’échange qui fait converger les différentes scènes artistiques de Suisse romande et de Suisse alémanique. Friart a acquis une réputation internationale pour son esprit aventureux et la portée globale d’un programme curatorial qui met en avant des artistes émergeant·e·s, suisse·esse·s et internationaux·ales, et présente des enquêtes historiques visant à la (re-)découverte d’artistes et d’oeuvres minorées, d’histoires parallèles, de cultures et d’expressions alternatives. La Kunsthalle a présenté les premières expositions monographiques de Dominique Gonzales Foerster (1996), Latifa Echakhch (2010), Valentin Carron (2002), Steven Parrino (2002) ou encore David Hammons (1993), et a organisé des expositions importantes de Renée Green (1996), Julia Scher (1996), Thomas Hirschhorn (1995) ou Marc Dion (1995). Récemment, elle a accueilli les expositions des designers Trix & Robert Haussmann (2014), de Cameron Rowland (2016), de l’artiste italienne Ketty La Rocca (2019), de Dorota Gaweda & Eglé Kulbokaité (2019), Calla Henkel & Max Pitegoff (2020) ou encore Hamishi Farah (2021) et organisé les expositions d’enquête et de recherche Film Implosion!(2015) sur le cinéma expérimental suisse, Discoteca Analitica (2019), sur l’émergence des environnements multimédia dans les années 1960, ou Les films de Guillaume Dustan (2020) qui présente les films réalisés par l’écrivain français entre et 2004. Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola
Personal objects, photos, books and watercolor paintings tell of the moving life of the German writer Hermann Hesse. During his years in Ticino he wrote with views of the nearby Lake Lugano - in an apartment of the picturesque little castle that went by the humble name of Casa Camuzzi. Besides short stories, some of his most important works - such as Siddhartha, Narziss and Goldmund or Klingsors letzter Sommer, were written here. Directly by the former dwelling and place of work of the writer, today you discover the Hermann Hesse Museum in the Torre Camuzzi. In addition to the permanent exhibition, here visitors enjoy thematic shows, lectures, concerts, films and readings. And its no wonder that beautiful walks in the surrounding landscape that once inspired the poet and writer also lure people here.

Siamo un Museo privato, gestito dall’omonima Associazione, proponiamo esposizioni legate al mondo dell’arte concepite per dei visitatori speciali: bambini e bambine dai 4 anni e atelier creativi dai 2 anni! Dalla nostra fondazione, nel desideriamo sorprenderli, stupirli e educarli in uno spazio creato apposta per loro, per iniziarli alla cultura e all’arte giocando. Una pedagogia originale, basata sul gioco, per incuriosire e stimolare la creatività e lo spirito critico dei giovani visitatori e attraverso mostre ed eventi prepararli così alla visita dei grandi musei di tutto il mondo e non solo. Per la nostra funzione educativa e sociale, al Museo in erba è stato attribuito il partenariato del Club per l’UNESCO Ticino. È inoltre membro dell’Associazione dei Musei Svizzeri. Riconoscimenti: • 2001 Premio Coop Cultura per l’originalità dell’iniziativa; • 2011 Premio Cultura della città di Bellinzona; • 2013 Partenariato da parte del Club per l’UNESCO Ticino, per la sua funzione educativa e sociale; • 2018 Sostegno della Credit Suisse Foundation al progetto “Arte in gioco per tutti”; • 2020 Premio per la Cultura Edilgroup. Il Museo in erba riceve un sostegno dalla città di Lugano e collabora con il suo istituto scolastico per attività didattiche e formative nell’ambito dell’area arti. Si avvale inoltre di sponsor storici per la presentazione delle mostre e del fondamentale sostegno di diverse Fondazioni che permettono la continuità del museo.

The exhibits arouse interest in life in the Arctic regions and encourage people to deal intensively with their own environment. In this way, art contributes to the preservation of cultures and becomes an element that unites Peoples.

In the third generation and since 1946, we collaborate directly with many artist estates and most of the leading colleagues in our field worldwide. We have had the privilege to help in building and completing many of the most important museum and private collections concentrating on Expressionism. Our family is proud to be administrators of the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Estate since the mid-1950ies. Therefore we have the honour and the privilege to contribute to most international museum shows to the theme of “Brücke”, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Expressionism in one way or the other. But we also act intensely and with the same dedication with a strong selection of abstract and contemporary artists. Concerning artists we don’t list in our gallery program, we may be able to find suitable works through our connections. We may not guarantee that the investment in art will make you rich financially on a short term basis, but we can guarantee you that you will significantly increase your life-quality by collecting serious and sustainable works of art. We participate physically in important international art fairs like TEFAF Maastricht, Masterpiece London, Art Cologne and others. In the gallery we show regularly monographic or thematic shows by important modern, post-war or contemporary artists.

In June 2021, eleven cultural and educational institutions in Bern's Kirchenfeld district formed the association Museumsquartier Bern: Alpines Museum der Schweiz, Bernisches Historisches Museum, Gymnasium Kirchenfeld, Kunsthalle Bern, Museum für Kommunikation, Naturhistorisches Museum Bern, PH Bern - Institut für Weiterbildung und Medienbildung, Schweizer Schützenmuseum Bern, Schweizerische Nationalbibliothek, Stadtarchiv Bern and Yehudi Menuhin Forum. In a four-year development phase (2021-2024), a model for the Museumsquartier Bern will be created step by step and developed with and by the employees of the various institutions. With a suitable organizational structure that allows us to work together efficiently and sustainably, joint innovative formats and projects, the design of the museum garden between the institutions and the conception of joint marketing, the foundations for collaboration are created. In addition, we will clarify, coordinate and plan the architectural project in collaboration with the City of Bern.
